“Chi può svegliare colui che sogna e nel suo sogno trionfa?/“Who dares to wake who dreams and in his dream triumphs?”

Sono incantata dalla somiglianza tra due facciate, una dell’Hôtel des Invalides e l’altra dell’Hôpital Pitié-Salpêtrière. La luce delicata assiste la somiglianza. La storia dell’attuale ospedale mi fa tremare. Leggo una sua biografia fino ai nomi illustri poi, cambio e rileggo per la nona volta “Le Trés-Bas” di Christian Bobin dedicato a San Francesco di Assisi, le sue pagine si sono ingiallite e hanno sofferto alcune piogge.
Sotto l’ombra dello stesso albero, arrivano due uomini.
-“Signora possiamo sederci?”
-“Prego” Dico spostando la mia borsetta dei libri.
Prima ancora di arrivare a piegare le gambe per sedersi, uno di loro a voce alta dice:
-“Se la pensi così perché mi frequenti?”
-“Ti frequento? Io sono il tuo compagno! Hanno detto che stai male… È il minimo… No?”
In concomitanza con “È il minimo…” mi alzo e vado verso la cappella dell’ospedale.
Infatti, L’hôtel des Invalides e la Hôpital Pitié-Salpêtrière sono diversi ma si somigliano, penso.

I am enchanted by the resemblances of two facades, one of the Hôtel des Invalides and the other one of the Hôpital Pitié-Salpêtrière. The delicate light supports the resemblance. The history of the actual hospital makes me shiver. I am reading a biography all the way to the illustrious names then, I change and read again for the ninth time “Le Trés-Bas” by Christian Bobin dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi, its pages have yellowed and have suffered some rains.
Under the shadow of the same tree, two men arrive.
-“Madam, can we sit?”
-“Please”, I say moving my little bag of the books.
Even before reaching the point of bending their legs to sit, one of them says out loud:
-“If you think so why do you spend time with me?”
-“Spend time with you? I am your partner! They told me you are not well… It’s the least… No?”
At the same time with “It’s the least…” I stand up and go toward the chapel of the hospital.
As a matter of fact, the Hôtel des Invalides and the Hôpital Pitié-Salpêtrière are different but they look alike, I am thinking.
