spesso stretto il tempo
tra quelle ossa che furono
e quelle che ora sono salto:
sollevato, delicato, sognato;
generoso di tracce,
di aromi e rumori,
come rami sfregati…
Scelte sottovento intagliate,
sovente silenzioso grido
oppure, umana radice danzante.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Long,
often narrow the time
between the bones that were
and those that now are a leap:
lifted, delicate, dreamed;
generous of traces,
of aromas and noises,
like rubbed sticks…
Downwind carved choices,
often silent scream
or, dancing human roots.

Cogliere/Seizing

Una radice del mondo
mi penetra il petto:
il mio maestro la saluta in silenzio
mio figlio scoppia in risate
il gatto di sopra la guarda solerte
l’incontro la chiama “l’amore”
il respiro le canta barocco
l’acqua l’innaffia munifica.

Io, incalzo gli indizi
attendo il germoglio
immagino i rami
indovino i boccioli
preparo le ombre
ritorno radice
e riesco a chiamarla:
giornata.

Seizing

A root of the world
penetrates my chest:
my master salutes it in silence
my son burst into laughter
the cat from above diligently watches it
the encounter calls it “love”
the breathe chants to it baroque
the water douses it munificent.

I, pursue the signs
wait the sprout
imagine the branches
guess the buds
prepare the shadows
change back in to root
and manage to call it:
day.

Rome, when the cherry blossoms
fall by the sound
of Japan.
